Where do I find my calendar link?

Most resident schedulers can give you a private calendar link (it starts with webcal:// or https://). Paste it into DutyHourCheck and your schedule loads, and with Pro it refreshes whenever you open the page. If your scheduler has no link, you can still upload a .ics file or paste the schedule as a table.

๐Ÿ”‘ Treat a calendar link like a password. Anyone who has it can read that schedule. Don't post it in group chats or on social media.

ShiftAdmin

  1. Sign in at shiftadmin.com and open My Schedule.
  2. Click "Subscribe to My Schedule".
  3. Time zone: pick UTC (ShiftAdmin recommends it). End times: pick Normal, not "Stop at Midnight", or overnight shifts get cut in two.
  4. Copy the webcal:// link it shows and paste it here.

Vacation days and day notes are not in the ShiftAdmin feed.

๐Ÿ”‘ The link is private to you. Anyone who has it can see your schedule.

QGenda

  1. Sign in at app.qgenda.com on a computer.
  2. On your dashboard, click Sync (sometimes labeled Calendar Sync).
  3. Copy the address under "Your subscription URL" and paste it here.
  4. In the mobile app the same link is under Calendar Sync.

Task names come from your department, so check the Shift types list below after loading.

๐Ÿ”‘ QGenda treats this URL like a password. Keep it private.

Amion

  1. Amion (classic): open your group, click the My Schedule icon and choose your name.
  2. Click Create Schedule, then click one of the calendar icons below the calendar to show your calendar URL.
  3. Amion Next: open My Schedule and copy the calendar URL from the bottom right.
  4. Paste the link here. The feed covers about 300 days ahead and the last 2 weeks.

๐Ÿ”‘ Amion links contain your group's Amion login after "Lo=". Anyone with the link can open your whole group's schedule. Never post it.

Lightning Bolt (PerfectServe)

  1. Lightning Bolt has a calendar subscription feature for iOS, Android, Google and Outlook, but its exact menu path is not publicly documented and depends on how your organization set it up.
  2. Open your personal schedule in Lightning Bolt (web or app) and look for Calendar Sync or Subscribe, then copy the link.
  3. If your hospital only syncs Lightning Bolt into Outlook, publish that Outlook calendar (see Outlook below) and paste that link instead.
  4. Still stuck? Your scheduler or chief can tell you whether calendar subscription is turned on.

๐Ÿ”‘ Keep the link private.

TigerConnect Physician Scheduling

  1. Your scheduler creates the iCalendar for you in TigerConnect Physician Scheduling (formerly Call Scheduler), under Whiteboards > iCalendar Export. You usually get it by email.
  2. Copy the .ics link from that email (or from schedule.tigerconnect.com if you have access) and paste it here.

If you never got the email, ask your scheduler to create an iCalendar for you.

๐Ÿ”‘ Keep the link private.

MedHub

  1. Sign in to your program's MedHub site and open your personal calendar ("View myCalendar").
  2. Use the calendar sync option (the Google "G" icon shows the subscription instructions and the .ics link).
  3. Copy the link and paste it here.

MedHub calendars often hold rotations, clinics and conferences rather than ED shift times. Multi-day rotation entries are shown as context and not counted as duty.

๐Ÿ”‘ Keep the link private.

New Innovations

  1. Go to Schedules > Block Scheduling > My Rotations.
  2. Click "Subscribe to My Schedule" (top right) and agree to the use terms.
  3. Click "Create iCalendar Link", copy the link in the grey box and paste it here.
  4. If you don't see the option, your department administrator has to turn on iCalendar for your department.

The feed contains both block rotations and assignment schedules. Multi-day rotation entries are shown as context and not counted as duty. It refreshes daily.

๐Ÿ”‘ Keep the link private.

Google Calendar

  1. On a computer, open Google Calendar > Settings, then click the calendar that holds your shifts.
  2. Under "Integrate calendar", copy "Secret address in iCal format" and paste it here.

Useful if your scheduler only syncs into Google, or you keep shifts there yourself.

๐Ÿ”‘ Google calls it a secret address for a reason. Keep it private.

Outlook / Microsoft 365

  1. In Outlook on the web: Settings > Calendar > Shared calendars > Publish a calendar.
  2. Pick the calendar, choose "Can view all details", click Publish, then copy the ICS link.

Your hospital may block publishing calendars outside the organization.

๐Ÿ”‘ Anyone with the ICS link can see that calendar.

Apple iCloud Calendar

  1. In the iPhone Calendar app tap Calendars, then the (i) next to the calendar.
  2. Turn on Public Calendar, tap Share Link and copy it, then paste it here.

๐Ÿ”‘ A public calendar link is viewable by anyone who has it.

No link?

Upload an exported .ics or .csv, or copy the rows of your schedule from a spreadsheet and paste them (Date, Start, End, Type).
